The European Athletic Association has announced an ambitious broadcasting schedule for the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Tour. Fans will enjoy free access to world-class competition as the sport’s biggest stars gear up for the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń.
What is the World Athletics Indoor Tour?
The World Athletics Indoor Tour (WAIT) is an elite series of track and field meetings held in arenas across the globe. Established in 2016 and modeled after the outdoor Diamond League, the tour was created to provide a structured indoor season and deliver high-stakes excitement for fans. The meetings are categorized into four tiers: Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Challenger. The series allows athletes to earn points in specific disciplines that rotate each year.
An Expanded 2026 Competition Calendar

The World Athletics Indoor Tour features a record-breaking schedule this season, with nearly 80 meetings across 24 countries in Asia, Europe, and North America. The action kicked off on December 13, 2025, in Bucharest and is set to conclude on March 12, 2026, in Uppsala, Sweden.
The calendar highlights eight prestigious Gold level meetings, starting January 24 in Boston and wrapping up February 22 in Toruń. Beyond the elite Gold series, fans can follow the action across 60 Silver, Bronze, and Challenger level meetings.

What’s at Stake? Prizes and Rankings
Athletes are competing for both prestige and significant prize money. Gold level meetings offer purses of at least $7,000 for each individual event. Overall tour winners in each discipline will receive a $10,000 bonus and a “wild card” entry for the World Athletics Indoor Championships.

Confirmed stars include Jeremiah Azu and Kishane Thompson, who are set for a showdown in the 60m in Stockholm. Also taking to the track are Patrizia Van Der Weken (60m and 200m), sisters Tina and Tia Clayton, and hurdles specialist Ditaji Kambundji. Distance and middle-distance fans can look forward to Audrey Werro, Andreas Kramer, Hakon Moe Berg, and 800m runner Benjamin Robert.
